    Ministry of Icelandic Vegetables was an independent research and development developed collaboratively by designers Gabríel Markan, Johanna Seelemann, Védís Pálsdóttir, Þura Stína Kristleifsdóttir, and Björn Steinar Blumenstein, initiated by Búi Bjarmar Aðalsteinsson. The project explored how food systems can become more sustainable, local, and collaborative through design. Working with producers, institutions, researchers, and local industries, the team investigated Icelandic ingredients, production methods, and circular opportunities to develop products that demonstrate the potential of local resources and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
