    Studio Plastplan + Iwo Borkowicz





    In early 2022, Plastplan partnered with Poznan-based architect Iwo Borkowicz to design a multifunctional public space accompanying Shoplifter's Chromo Sapiens exhibition. Conceived as both a café and a flexible venue for public events, the project was a pilot within furniture and interior design from locally recycled plastic

    Designed and produced entirely in Plastplan's Reykjavík workshop, the project transformed more than 1,500 kg of locally discarded plastic into colourful furniture and custom interior elements. The collaboration demonstrated how recycled plastic can move beyond everyday products to become a durable and expressive material for architecture, exhibitions and public spaces.
